Change from Manjaro to CachyOS

I am using Manjaro with Gnome 48 desktop.Waiting Gnome 49 update for 3 months but still not available. So I change my system to CachyOS with Gnome 49.After using it for 5 days, Ifeel happy with it.

Dell Optiplex 3040 安装 Manjaro Linux

在农历新年的前一天，弟弟带回来一台Dell桌面电脑。我安装 Manjaro Linux。只用了5-10分钟就搞定了。使用过后，发现之前的蓝牙问题解决了。用了一个星期，好用。

EndevourOS Fail to boot

今天早上开机的时候完全不能够开机了。试了很多方法都不行。只好重灌。开机后还是一样只停留在登录画面。试了两三次都是一样。只好去下载Manjaro。换好之后可以开机了。但是很多应用程式需要重新下载和设定。浪费了我好多时间。

Upgraded Gnome 42 today.

 Today I received an upgraded version of Gnorm 42.

garuda linux

最近因为有空，下载了garuda linux安装。我装的是gnome桌面。结果大失所望，只有wayland,没有xorg 和 classic mode。进入桌面后，就卡住了。只好放弃使用。

升级gnome 41

今天终于等到升级了。好期待他的效果。安装完毕，我让他重启一次。却发现我不能够利用wayland session 和 xorg session 。只能够使用classic session 。完全没有享受到新的体验。跟之前没有升级版的完全没有分别。

超过一个月了

等待gnome 41的升级。已经超过了一个月。这次是最久的一次。过去都是一两个星期就搞定了。这次的升级可能是遇上了大麻烦。没有一丝的消息。只有等待再等待。

已经等待了18天。 gnome 41不知道要等到几时,都还没有得升级。

在archlabs linux安装百度网盘

说到要安装百度网盘。在Linux下实在是太不容易安装了。之前我试过安装baidunetdisk-bin。效果都不太好，时常不能够开出来。今天去wiki看了看。才发现我可以去安装baidunetdisk-electron。安装过后一切都搞定了。

archlabs +gnome 40

刚装的archlabs过后。启动gnome 40 桌面。它会停留在开机画面不动。因为我是用wayland。如果在login的时候,采用X11。画面就没有问题。可是却不能够进入gnome-extensions-apps。不能进行扩充的设定。相当折腾。

archlabs 2021.05.02 is out

 I downloaded the archlabs today.  Try to install it but fail so many times.  Finally, I format the whole hard disk. This time it installed successfully. I choose gnome desktop 40. I cannot use wayland, it turn out in slow motion. I got to change it to xorg.  It works better.  At this moment, everything is fine. I got to work on it for a few days. To see whether is up to  Perfection.

Calam -arch -installer

 Today I try out calam arch in staller. The installation is very smooth. But a bit too slow. After reboot,  I saw nothing on the screen, only a flashing dash. Wait for 10 minutes and still nothing happened. It means this installer is totally fail.

Update gnome 40

    The first update of gnome 40, every things remain the same nothing change. There was a second update a week before. This time it really change to gnome 40 looks. When I start my machine it boots up to the new gnome splash screen.at this point gnome respond very slowly. Some of the gnome extensions not working any more. The extensions app cannot start, so cannot configure any of the extension. I just do not know how to solve this. I just to wait for the later update.

Gnome 4.0

 Today, archlabs Linux upgraded my gnome desktop into gnome 4.0.

相当莫名其妙的。国际妇女节却变成了女神节。这个年头什么东西都变来变去。就像马来西亚这样，是个很会U转的国家。

Install Archlabs 2020.11.04

 On 22/11/2020 I installed new version of Archlabs.

First must update archlabs-installer.

Just follow the step given by the installer.

This time the installation is very smooth and fast. It takes around 20-30 minutes.

Everything is good and nice.

 

Tracker Store high cpu usage

after having tracker-store running with almost 100% CPU, almost all the time for 7 days now, it seems like I found an easy fix:

tracker reset --hard

CAUTION: This process may irreversibly delete data.
Although most content indexed by Tracker can be safely reindexed, it can?t be assured that this is the case for all data. Be aware that you may be incurring in a data loss situation, proceed at your own risk.

/usr/lib/tracker/tracker-store process is gone for now, fan is spinning down, and everything seems quiet after a week. Haven't tested a reboot though...

 

Manjaro Bluetooth Speaker no sound

Since momday my archlabs linux crashed and cannot be reinstalled then I choose to install Manjaro Linux. After installed everythings go es fine but bluetooth speaker no sound. Googling for more than 5 days but still no help. Today 05/07/2020 I found an article :

Just one command and two action then the problem solved.

In terminal type: killall pulseaudio

turn off bluetooth  

turn on bluetooth again

that's it.
